A hack I have often used is in tricking the mind into believing the new plan is in motion much before it is supposed to begin.

Let us say you want to start something from tomorrow evening and at night you sit and plan everything. But when the day comes you laze out or postpone it as evening approaches.

One trick I do is when the day comes, right from the time i wake up i make small changes to my daily routine that makes my mind think This day is different and My Plan is already in motion. It could be just when you wake up or what you eat for breakfast or maybe calling a friend in the morning to walking to the bustop instead of taking a ride.

By the time its evening and your actual plan needs to be implemented your mind is already convinced you are on the path of a new day and new plan and will not procrastrinate.
